This is a loaded MK7 heater block.

It includes thermistor and heater cartridge installed in the block.  This is a great replacement for stock, early style CR-10 hotends, as well as many other 3D printers which use this shape block.  This can be used on later CR-10 models, but you omit the two screws which run through the block.

We highly recommend that you have some kapton tape on hand to aid in wrapping the block (to keep it clean and insulated), and also to help with wire management, and protection.

Wire length:  36 inches for heater and thermistor.

Power: 40W

Voltage: 12V

Thermistor:  100K (compatible with CR-10 without any firmware changes)

If you've encountered a blob of plastic on your hotend, and you'd rather just replace the block, this is the part for you.

Wiring:  Typically installation, we recommend, is to cut the red and white wires about 4 inches from your old hotend.  On the new block, leave about 6 inches of wire length.  This will leave you with about an 1 and a half longer lead after wires are joined.  This is a good idea, because the future awaits.  Polarity will not matter for red or white wires.  You just match up the colors.  It's a great idea to solder your wires, and protect with shrink tubing.  Crimp style butt connectors can also be used.

My personal favorite is to use our green connectors (optional).  You will only need to solder the pins on one side on connector.  The other side has screw terminals.  Ferrules and ferrule crimping tool is strongly recommended.
