We are pleased to offer this tape to you. It is a heat reistant polyimide tape (same material as Kapton branded tape).
We highly recommend wrapping your heater block with the tape. There are a few reasons, you'll want to do this.
1. It keeps molten plastic out of your fasteners.
2. It keeps molten plastic out of your fasteners, and heater cartridge.
3. It keeps molten plastic out of your fasteners, and off of your heater block.
4. It helps insulate your heater block from air flows, and tempted fingers.
This all makes cleaning up after disaster, or simply changing your heater cartridge, nozzle, or thermister, painless and easy. When you're done, remember to re-wrap your heater block.
One roll will last you a good while. This is also a fantastic electrical insulator, and resists abrasion. It's great stuff, and must have for printer maintenance.
